Day 1: USA-Athens
Departure from the USA on an overnight flight to Athens.
Day 2: Athens
Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 3: Athens
This morning's tour includes a drive past Hadrian's Arch and a visit to the Temple of Olympian Zeus and a short stop at the Panathenaic Stadium where the First Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. Tour the glories of Athens "Cradle of Civilization" seeing Parthenon's crowing beauty atop the Acropolis, the Erechtheum with its Porch of Maiden's, the beautifully preserved Theseum, the Temple of Zeus, and the Theatre of Dionysus. Drive past Syntagma (Constitution Square) the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Solider and the National Library. Afternoon at leisure. |

Day 4: Athens (Cruise)
Transfer to the marina for a delightful One Day Cruise to the Saronic Gulf Islands of Aegina, Hydra and Poros. Lunch on board. Transfer back to the hotel. (B, L)
Days 5, 6, & 7: Athens
Three days at leisure to further explore the fascinating city of Athens. Visit one of the many museums or choose from the optional sightseeing tours, Delphi - site of the Temple of Apollo where for 14 centuries the Oracle spoke. Argolis - including the ancient sites at Mycenae and Epidaurus, or an Afternoon Tour to Cape Sounion - where the white marble pillars of Poseidon stand. (B)
