Day 1, USA - Athens
Departure from the USA on an overnight flight to Athens.
Day 2, Sun Athens
Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 3, Mon Athens
The morning city sightseeing features the Parthenon's crowning beauty atop the Acropolis, the Erectheum with its porch of maidens, the beautifully preserved Theseum, the Temple of Zeus and the Theater of Dionysos. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 4, Tues Athens - Olympia
Depart this morning on the classical tour driving via the coastal road stopping at the Corinth Canal. Stop at Epidaurus to visit the reowned ampitheatre with its perfect acoustics. Proceed to Mycenae to see the Lions Gate and Beehive Tombs before driving on to Olympia for an overnight stay.
Day 5, Wed Olympia - Delphi
This morning visit the site of the first Olympic Games; the sanctuary of the Olympian Zeus and the museum. Drive via Patras to Rion for the crossing to Antirion and arrive in Delphi for an overnight stay.

Days 6, Thurs, Delphi - Athens
Today walk the sacred way and visit the Castili Spring, the sanctuary of Athena Pronaia and the Delphi museum. Return to Athens this evening via the picturesque village of Arachova. Overnight Athens.
Day 7, Fri. Athens - Piraeus - Cruise: Mykonos
Transfer from the hotel to Piraeus harbour to embark on the cruise ship. Today's port of call is the Cosmopolitan Islands of Mykonos. Stroll around the colorful harbour, shop in the chic boutiques and visit one of the many chapels.
Day 8, Sat. Cruise: Rhodes
A full day on the "islands of roses". Rhodes is both medieval and modern and is one of the sunniest of the Greek Islands. the white-washed village of Lindos is home to the impressive temple of Athena.
Day 9, Sun. Cruise: Patmos - Kusadasi
Patmos is the sacred island where St. John wrote the book of Revelations. Kusadaisi - gateway to the ancient Greek colony of Ephessos, founded by the Athenians is the largest and best preserved ancient city in the world.
Day 10, Mon. Cruise: Piraeus - USA
Upon disembarkation transfer to the airport for the departure flight.. |
