Day 4, Tue. Venice - Florence
This morning transfer to the rail station to pick up the high-speed train from Venice to Florence. Enjoy an interesting ride through Italy's most beautiful regions of Veneto, Emilia Rogmana & Tuscany". Upon arrival in Florence transfer to the hotel. Balance of day free to get acquainted with the birth place of Renaissance. Overnight in Florence. (B)
Day 5, Wed. Florence
Today visit the beautiful Piazza Del Duomo to see the Cathedral of Santa Maria Dei Fiore, the Giotto's Bell Tower and the Romanesque Baptistery of St. John with the exquisite bronze doors by Ghiberti (Michaelangelo called them "The Gates of Paradise"). Later, the academy of fine arts which houses Michelangelo's superb "David" and many of the master's unfinished works. Afternoon at leisure for shopping and exploring. (B) |

A full day at leisure to explore this magnificent city. Florence is rich in galleries and museums, testimonies of its leading role in Italy as cultural center during the renaissance bearing the indelible traces of one of its most beloved and most hated sons, Michelangelo. (B)

Day 8, Sat. Rome
Morning excursion through imperial, ancient, Rome. Arrive by coach at Piazza Venezia with its impressive monument dedicated to King Victor Emanuel II and the Unknown Soldier. Continue on foot to the famous Piazza Del Campidoglio designed by Michelangelo from where there is a fantastic view of the Roman Forum. The coach will continue by the Circus Maximus and the Pyramid of Caius Cestius before arriving at the outside walls of Basilica of St. Paul. the tour will be completed with a stop outside the imposing Coliseum. Afternoon at leisure. (B)
Day 9, Sun. Rome
Day at leisure to wander through this majestic city. Nowhere more than here can one get a sense of continuity of Italian civilization. In the streets or the piazzas, in the garden of churches, or in front of the palaces, the visitor will understand why Rome has always considered itself a capital, eternally renewing herself and finding strength in her rich past.
