This morning call at the sacred island of Patmos where St. John lived and wrote the Book of Revelations. This afternoon call at Kusadasi, gateway to the ancient Greek colony of Ephessos. Founded by the Athenians, Ephessos is the largest and best preserved ancient city in the world. (B, L, D)

The capital of Crete, Heraklion is three miles from the elaborate Palace of Knossos, believed to be the mythical labyrinth of King Minos. Afternoon arrival at Santorini - fabled to be the lost continent of Atlantis where the main town of Thira clings to a steep cliff. (B, L, D)
Day 9, Fri. Cruise:
Piraeus - Athens
Upon disembarkation transfer to the hotel. Day at leisure to explore the "birthplace of civilization". (B)
Day 10, Sat. Athens
The morning sightseeing tour of the capital's classical sights will include the fascinating Acropolis with its majestic Parthenon rising above the city and the Acropolis Museum. Remainder of day at leisure. (B)
