Day 1, Fri. USA - Athens
Departure from the USA on an overnight flight to Athens.
Day 2, Sat. Athens
Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transfer to the hotel. The remainder of day is at leisure.
Day 3, Sun. Athens
Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of the capital's classical sights which includes the fascinating Acropolis with its majestic Parthenon rising above the city and the Acropolis Museum. Drive past the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Royal Palace, Panathenian Stadium, and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Remainder of day at leisure to explore the Plaka or visit one of the many museums. (B)
Day 4, Mon. Athens - Piraeus -
Cruise: Mykonos
Morning pick up from the hotel and transfer to Piraeus harbour to board the cruise ship for passage to Mykonos. Upon disembarkation transfer to the hotel. Overnight Mykonos (B, L)
Days 5, 6 & 7, Tue., Wed. & Thur. Mykonos
Three full days at leisure to explore the island known for its fantastic beaches and exciting nightlife. Stroll the narrow picturesque streets, visit one of the hundreds of chapels and save one day to visit the sacred island of Delos, birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. (B) |

Day 8, Fri. Mykonos - Cruise
This evening transfer from the hotel to the cruise ship. (B, D)
Day 9, Sat. Cruise: Rhodes
All day on the "island of roses" - Rhodes. Time to explore the historic Old City with its palace built by the Nights of St. John and the quaint streets and duty free shops. Join an optional excursion to Lindos and view the fabulous Temple of Athena overlooking the Bay of St. Paul. (B, L, D)
Day 10, Sun. Cruise: Patmos & Kusadasi
The first port of call, Patmos, is the tiny Greek island where St. John the Divine wrote the Book of Revelations. Optional tour to the 11th century monastery with its valuable manuscript collection. Next, the colorful Turkish port of Kusadasi where an optional tour departs for the fascinating Greek, Roman and Byzantine excavations of Ephesus, the most complete excavation of any ancient city. Day 11, Mon. Cruise: Piraeus - USA
Cruise ship returns early this morning to Piraeus harbour. Transfer to the airport for the departure flight. |
